Job Description

The Flexographic Press Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining a flexographic press. The role involves ensuring high-quality production, adhering to safety standards, and maintaining production rates. Key duties include setting up, adjusting, and maintaining the press, installing necessary components, and notifying supervision of needed repairs. The operator also conducts quality control checks to ensure the final product meets all specifications.

Pay: $20.00 – $25.00 per hour

Essential Functions

These are functions a qualified incumbent or applicant must be able to perform with or without reasonable accommodation.

  • Set up, adjust, maintain and operate a Mark Andy 16″ – 20″ flexographic press
  • Installs Anilox rollers, plates. inks and dies into proper stations, making necessary adjustments to maintain quality of production.
  • Notifies Supervision of needed repairs and replacement parts.
  • Ensures that assigned equipment is properly maintained and in safe operating condition.
  • Understands all the documents related to the printing process and adheres to specification requirements.

Other (Non-Essential) Functions

Includes functions which are normally performed by persons holding this title. However, these functions may be assigned to other employees as part of a “Reasonable Accommodation” under the ADA.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum high school diploma or GED & have basic computer skills.
  • 1-3 years Flexographic Printing experience is preferred.
  • Must be able to read and write simple instructions in English and perform basic math including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • Must be able to maintain good attendance, be flexible and willing to work overtime, as needed.

Physical Requirements & Environmental Conditions

  • The incumbent is regularly required to stand, walk, carry, hear, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, use manual dexterity – hand / finger coordination, grasp, reach, and lift/move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift/move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift/move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required: close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
